RPA is the solution to many different problems that your business may be bumping up against.
Scaling Operations …with full throttle control
It’s always a game of matching your company resources to fit the demands of your customers. And where the game gets hard is when mismatches occur. And that is the reality of today’s world.
Adding capacity before you know that you can utilize it, is not prudent at all. And not having capacity when the business is at your door beckoning, creates multitude of aftershocks. From lost customers, to unhappy customers, to overworked staff, to overstressed staff – none of which are easy to recover from.
The truth is – demand fluctuates – and we operate linearly.
In an environment of uncertain growth, we shy away from any major predictions and we end up in status quo mode of operations. And when that growth jumps out at us, we put the pedal to the metal and hope.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have turbo kick in?
Increasing Productivity …and increasing the quality of work
Productivity is one of those things that we really count on to help us handle more work. You can re-organize work, re-schedule work, divide and subdivide the work, and you can use dedicated tools. All of these things will increase efficiency and productivity. But time-and-motion science and industrial engineering will only get you so far.
Then there is the human element.
Ultimately, there will always be a set fringe tasks that are just interwoven into your operations. Although they may be mundane, repetitive and mindless tasks, they still need to be done. And they need to be done by a human.
And therein lie the hidden bottlenecks that create real drag on overall efficiencies.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have that dedicated bot assistant who could be easily trained to mimic all those tedious steps that you did by hand
Improving Quality and Compliance … by removing human touchpoints
Both customers and compliance officers expect you to produce or provide your services exactly the same way, every single time.
As is often said, you can produce a one-off of something and you can achieve the desired level of quality. With an output of 1 unit, consistency is 100% and standard deviation is zero.
It is when the throughput rate increases that process consistency needs to have appropriate controls in place to keep pace.
Unfortunately, if you have a number of ancillary activities that need to be done by humans, then human error becomes an intrinsic part of the overall process.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a human do a one-off set of for all the ancillary activities – and then have it replicated automatically forever
Removing Inter-Technology Constraints … Legacy Systems or Not
Technological investments that your business has made in systems to run dedicated processes are generally a significant undertaking driven by IT. These are longer-term commitments which make a step-function improvement in managing core functional processes that your organization depends on.
By their very nature of being larger-scale systems, these systems do not evolve in manners that permit them to directly interface to other related systems. Either the IT team needs to be commissioned to develop the API – or you are left waiting for a future software release or upgrade from the vendor (if indeed it ever materializes).
Technology is continually evolving. And yet with every key technology investment, you make a trade-off to accept the constraints and dependencies.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have technological extensibility of your processes, in incremental steps as you deem fit?
Future Readiness
The process of digital transformation is passing into a new frontier. It is being enabled by advances in both mobile and cloud computing platforms. In the composite, it is bringing new levels of business intelligence potential, being driven by: big data, data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
But the realization of new technological advances for any organization will be rooted in how they can combine these different advances, and produce new gains in their capabilities. Wouldn’t it be nice to incorporate a platform that enables you to be ready for this future?
